This magnificent weeping cherry tree, said to be over 1,000 years old, is one of Japan's three most famous cherry trees and symbolizes Miharu Town. The sight of its branches spreading like a waterfall is most famous during cherry-blossom season, but even in summer, its robust form with lush green foliage is worth seeing. Viewing paths have been built around it, allowing you to feel the presence of this ancient tree that has been rooted here for so long. It is a place that brought the name of Miharu to the entire nation—a point of pride for the region.

三春町の中心部、大町おまつり道路を会場に、2026年8月15日(土)・16日(日)の2日間開かれる地域の盆踊りです。通りにやぐらが組まれ、太鼓のリズムに合わせて浴衣姿の踊り手たちが輪をつくります。城下町として栄えた三春らしく、古い町並みに提灯の灯りが加わることで、昼間とはまた違った情緒ある夜の風景が広がります。滝桜やデコ屋敷、城跡をめぐって三春の歴史と文化にふれた1日の締めくくりに、この地に根づいた盆踊りの温かさを味わいましょう。
Tips
会場周辺は夜間車両の通行に注意が必要な箇所があります。踊りの輪は誰でも自由に参加できます。夜は虫よけがあると快適に過ごせます。
Tips
There are slopes from the parking area to the viewing spot, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. In summer, some sections have little shade, so don't forget a hat and drinks.
Best time to visit
Approximately 50 minutes. Morning through early afternoon is cooler and easier to walk.
