View the castle town of Miharu from the elevated castle ruins

About this spot

These are the ruins of the castle of the Tamura and Akita clans, who ruled Miharu from the Sengoku through Edo periods, familiarly known as "Maizuru Castle Ruins." While the main tower no longer stands, the panoramic view of Miharu's castle town from the main enclosure gives a sense of the strategic location's strength. The entire mountain is developed as a park and is also famous for cherry blossoms; the tree-lined walking paths provide pleasant shade even in summer.

Season & hours

Name:

Date & time: 8/15 (Sat)–8/16 (Sun) Time TBA

Venue:

Tips
