This major event, coloring the Kiryu summer, fills Honmachi-dori with the songs and taiko drums of Yagibushi, a folk song representative of Gunma Prefecture. In 2026, it runs for three days, from August 7 to 9, and the street becomes a pedestrian-only zone bustling with crowds from the very first day. Dancers in yukata form dancing circles one after another to the lively rhythm, and spectators along the street naturally find themselves clapping along. As night deepens, the excitement of the illuminated street builds, making for a night full of Kiryu's summer vibrancy.

Information on food stalls could not be confirmed, so it's a good idea to have dinner around Honmachi-dori beforehand.
