つくばみらい市高岡の高岡愛宕神社を舞台に、2026年8月23日(日)19時から開催される「高岡流綱火」です。国の重要無形民俗文化財に指定される綱火のひとつで、境内の木々の間に張り渡された縄を伝って、花火の力で人形や仕掛けがゆっくりと動く江戸時代からの伝統芸能です。昼間に訪れたきらくやま花木園や板橋不動尊の落ち着いた時間から一転、夜の境内は幻想的な火の芸を見上げる家族連れでにぎわいます。屋台の出店状況は年により変わるため、夕食は道の駅常総で済ませておくと安心です。
Tips
祭り当日は神社周辺の駐車スペースが限られるため、早めの到着が安心です。火を使う伝統芸能のため、係員の指示に従い、指定された場所から見学しましょう。夜は虫が多い場合があるため、虫除け対策を忘れずに。

It's convenient to access by car from the Yawahara Interchange on the Joban Expressway. Insect repellent preparations are recommended in summer. Check opening hours and admission fees in advance.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 50 minutes. Morning or evening when the sun is gentler are ideal times for strolling.
