つくばみらい市高岡の高岡愛宕神社を舞台に、2026年8月23日(日)19時から開催される「高岡流綱火」です。国の重要無形民俗文化財に指定される綱火のひとつで、境内の木々の間に張り渡された縄を伝って、花火の力で人形や仕掛けがゆっくりと動く江戸時代からの伝統芸能です。昼間に訪れたきらくやま花木園や板橋不動尊の落ち着いた時間から一転、夜の境内は幻想的な火の芸を見上げる家族連れでにぎわいます。屋台の出店状況は年により変わるため、夕食は道の駅常総で済ませておくと安心です。
Tips
祭り当日は神社周辺の駐車スペースが限られるため、早めの到着が安心です。火を使う伝統芸能のため、係員の指示に従い、指定された場所から見学しましょう。夜は虫が多い場合があるため、虫除け対策を忘れずに。

It's convenient to drive from Itabashi Fudoson. The grassy areas have little shade, so bring a hat and drinks in summer.

Allow approximately 1 hour. It's recommended to visit in the afternoon when the sun's intensity begins to ease.
