About this spot

This open, glass-walled complex library was formed by combining the Nagasaki Prefectural Library and the Omura City Library. It has a well-stocked children's book corner and local history corner, making it a good place to look into Omura's history and festivals as well. The air-conditioned interior is a perfect place for the family to cool off during the hot hours of summer. Events for children, such as story-reading sessions, are sometimes held as well.

Tips

A few minutes by car from Honkyoji Temple. The building is divided into quiet zones and areas where conversation is allowed, so families with small children should check the signage. A spacious parking lot is also available.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. Good for cooling off during the strong summer sunlight in the afternoon.
