About this spot

Around Tanaka Station on the Shinano Railway, there are restaurants scattered about that use local ingredients. It is also close to the Tanaka shopping street area, the festival venue, making it a convenient spot to fuel up before the evening's main event. On the day of the festival, the area around the station is livelier than usual, and the whole town begins to take on the atmosphere of a summer festival.

Tips

Accessible by car from Mizuho Onsen Yurakukan. Crowds increase after evening on the day of the festival, so it's safer to visit earlier.

Best time to visit

About 45 minutes. The 4:00 PM hour, before the festival gets underway, tends to be relatively calm.
