About this spot

This day-trip hot spring facility sits on a hill with Mt. Eboshi at its back, overlooking the townscapes of Tomi and Ueda cities below. Vineyards of Kyoho grapes spread around the area, and the open-air bath offers views extending to the Northern Alps, Mt. Utsukushigahara, Mt. Tateshina, and the Yatsugatake mountain range. Inside, there is a Wine & Beer Museum introducing wine and beer made in Tomi City, as well as a shop selling local specialties. On a summer afternoon, taking in the rural scenery from this hilltop makes for a pleasant break before the festival.

Tips

Accessible by car from Michi-no-Eki Raiden Kurumi-no-Sato. Since using the facility's baths may require a separate fee, you can also enjoy the view sufficiently from the outdoor viewing area.

Best time to visit

About 45 minutes. As evening approaches, the rural landscape becomes bathed in soft light.
