2026年の土佐市大綱まつりは8月15日(土)に開催され、目玉となる綱引きは18時30分から県道土佐いの線沿道で行われます。地域を東西に分けて太い大綱を引き合う勇壮な行事で、地元の力自慢たちが本気でぶつかり合う様子に沿道は大きな歓声に包まれます。長い歴史を持つこの行事は、地域の結束と夏の締めくくりを象徴する土佐市ならではの祭りです。夜の街道を舞台にした熱気ある綱引きは、家族で見応えのある迫力を楽しめます。

会場周辺は当日交通規制がかかるため、公共交通機関か徒歩での来場が安心です。沿道は混雑するので、小さな子ども連れは後方や見晴らしのよい場所を選びましょう。夜は気温が下がることもあるため、羽織ものを用意しておくと安心です。
