Seaside Bon Dance with Around 30 Food Stalls and Drum Rhythms
About this spot
The 2026 Kochi Teketsu Bon Dance takes place August 15 (Saturday) from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Michi-no-Eki Yasu 'Ya-Shii Park' (道の駅やす). The venue hosts around 30 food stalls selling regional specialties, building festive energy before dancing begins. Turn this into a day plan with stall time includedTips
The parking lot gets crowded on the day, so arriving early is recommended. Stalls operate throughout the 7–9 PM event, so you can enjoy dinner here as part of the festival experience. The seaside cools at night, so a light cardigan or outer layer is a good idea.
Best time to visit
From 7 PM onwards. The event builds in energy from 7:30 PM as the drums sound and the circle grows larger.
