About this spot

This shopping street lines the Chizu Kaido road running east to west through central Tottori City, dotted with restaurants and cafes. As the festival approaches, lanterns and banners decorate the street, and it grows noticeably livelier from evening onward. It also has good access to Fumon Plaza (風紋広場) in front of JR Tottori Station, the venue for the Suzukko Odori dance, making it a convenient location to have dinner before heading to the venue.

Tips

More shops become crowded in the evening on festival day, so entering early is recommended. Traffic restrictions begin around the venue after 6 p.m., so pay attention to your timing when moving around.
