About this spot

This sandy beach is located in Taso-ura, Minami-Ise Town, within Ise-Shima National Park (伊勢志摩国立公園). White sand spreads across an inlet open to the Kumano Sea (熊野灘), and combined with the emerald-green water, the scenery is reminiscent of an overseas resort. The waves are gentle, and in summer the beach is lively with swimmers and surfers. Spending a relaxed moment gazing at the sea makes for a valuable break, even under the hot summer sun.

Tips

There is little shade on the beach, so bring a drink and a hat. During the summer swimming season, the parking lot can get crowded, so plan to arrive with time to spare.

Best time to visit

About 50 minutes. The time as evening approaches, when the bay's colors soften, is also recommended.
