Viewing Spot Overlooking Gokasho Bay from the Observation Plaza
About this spot
An observation park on a small hill where you can overlook Gokasho Bay inlets from the plaza. Grassy areas and benches are provided, perfect for a relaxing rest while viewing the sea. Locally beloved as a seasonal flower-viewing spot, spending time in the greenery is a precious break from summer heat. The rows of cultivation rafts below are a sight unique to this location.

南北朝時代に築かれたと伝わる五ヶ所城の跡地にある愛洲の館で開かれる祭りです。この地は、剣術の源流のひとつとされる愛洲陰流の祖・愛洲移香斎の出身地と伝えられており、剣祖祭ではその功績をしのんで奉納演武などが行われます。2026年は8月23日(日)の開催で、静かな城址に武術ゆかりの緊張感ある空気が漂います。海と山に囲まれた南伊勢町の歴史の奥深さに、家族でふれられる貴重な機会です。

会場周辺は駐車スペースが限られるため、早めの到着がおすすめです。屋外での開催となるため、夕方以降の虫よけ対策もあると安心です。荒天時の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。
Tips
There's a gentle uphill from the parking lot to the observation plaza. Some times have little shade, so bring drinks and a hat for comfort.
Best time to visit
About 50 minutes required. The bay's colors change softly as evening approaches, also recommended.
