Nakamoto Beach (仲本海岸)

Flow of the course

About this spot

A shallow-water beach surrounded by reefs on the southern side of Kuroshima. During high tide, it becomes like a natural pool where you can observe colorful tropical fish and coral up close—a well-known snorkeling spot. The waves are usually calm, making it relatively safe to enjoy ocean activities even with small children.

Tips

The area available for play changes significantly with tidal changes, so it's reassuring to check a tide table beforehand. Marine shoes are recommended to prevent injuries from coral reefs. With little shade, sun protection should be thorough.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour. High tide is optimal for snorkeling.
