About this spot

One of Shikoku's largest keyhole-shaped burial mounds, developed as a park-like setting with lush greenery. You can climb to the top of the mound and gaze over the rural scenery of Ayagawa Town, experiencing the weight of history as people have lived in this land since ancient times. While not a flashy tourist spot, it is recommended for families who wish to quietly contemplate history.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from central Ayagawa Town. The grass-covered slopes of the tumulus can be slippery in wet conditions. Sun protection is recommended in summer as there is little shade.

Best time to visit

Approximately 45 minutes. Morning or early afternoon visits are recommended when it is cooler.
