Rurikei Onsen (るり渓温泉) is a complex near the entrance to Rurikei offering lodging, bathing, and dining. The restaurant serves meals made with local ingredients, so you can fill up properly before your gorge walk. There is also a shop inside, handy for picking up drinks and light snacks. Since it is conveniently located for stopping by before or after river play, it is also valuable as a rest spot.

るり渓は、京都府南丹市園部町にある京都府立自然公園で、渓谷沿いに大小の滝や甌穴が続く景勝地です。常時開放されているため、季節を問わず気軽に立ち寄れるのが魅力です。渓谷内の浅瀬は澄んだ水が流れ、石を渡ったり小さな滝つぼで水しぶきをあげたりと、自然の中でのびのび遊べます。木々に包まれた渓谷は夏でも涼しく、都会の暑さを忘れてゆったり過ごせる場所です。

Tips

水はひんやりと冷たいため、日差しのある暖かい時間帯に遊ぶのがおすすめです。渓谷内は岩場や滑りやすい場所もあるため、濡れても滑りにくい靴を用意しておくと安心です。駐車場から遊歩道を少し歩くため、荷物は最小限にまとめておくと動きやすいです。

Tips

It is within walking distance of the Rurikei parking lot, so you can leave your car parked and visit it together with the gorge. During busy seasons seats fill up quickly at lunchtime, so arriving a little earlier lets you dine calmly.
