About this spot

Kasagi Campground is a year-round, free campsite spread along the riverbed of the Kizu River, downstream of Kasagi Ohashi Bridge, in Kasagi Town, Soraku District, Kyoto Prefecture. No reservation is needed, making it easy to visit on a whim. The shallows that gently continue from the riverbank are easy even for children to wade into, and you can play against nature itself, splashing in the clear stream and hopping across stones. Surrounded by lush green mountains with plenty of shaded areas along the riverbank, it's a comfortable environment to spend time in even on hot summer days.
