About this spot

This roadside station has an attached facility introducing Date City's history and its pioneering past, and stocks locally grown vegetables, seafood and souvenirs. It is just the right size to get out of the car and stretch a little, and is handy for a toilet break and picking up drinks. It is a useful place to get ready before heading to the obstacle course. Even just looking around inside gives you a feel for the atmosphere of the town of Date.

Tips

The summer holiday period can get busy with tourists, so an early morning visit means more room in the car park. Buying everything you need for the obstacle course here, such as drinks and sunscreen, makes the day's travel smoother.

Best time to visit

About 30 to 40 minutes. Early morning is quiet and recommended
