This old shrine stands in the heart of Chuo Ward, Chiba City, and is distinguished by its Momoyama-style two-tier main hall. Although the grounds are in an urban area, the atmosphere is calm, and it is just the right size for a family visit or stroll. It is well placed for moving around and getting a little exercise before water play, and lets you take in the feel of the city centre too. You can spend unhurried time admiring the historic shrine buildings.
Tips
Visiting is free. The grounds are not very large, so you can drop in casually even with limited time. There are many restaurants nearby, which is handy when looking for somewhere to have lunch.
