About this spot
This castle rises at the centre of Otaki, also known as the Little Edo of Boso, and the current keep has been laid out as a museum. Castle-town streetscapes remain in the surrounding area, on a scale that lets you stroll while touching the history. Its location lets you get a little exercise and build anticipation before water play in the valley. From the keep you can look out over the townscape of Otaki, which also suits family commemorative photos.

増水や台風時の通行規制を除いて常時開放されている、房総半島を代表する渓谷の水遊びスポットです。粟又の滝を中心とした遊歩道が整備されており、大小の滝や浅瀬を眺めながら歩けます。水深の浅い場所を選べば、小さな子どもでも保護者と一緒に安心して水に触れられます。渓谷の水は冷たいため、日差しのある時間帯を選んで遊ぶのがおすすめです。緑深い自然に包まれながら過ごす、房総らしい水遊びの時間になります。
Tips
増水時や台風の後は遊歩道が通行規制される場合があるため、訪問前に最新情報を確認してください。川底は滑りやすい岩が多いので、濡れてもよい靴を履くと安心です。日陰が多く水も冷たいので、休憩をこまめに取りながら遊びましょう。
Tips
Touring the interior of the keep requires a separate admission fee. Strolling the castle town alone is free, so you can choose how to spend your time depending on your schedule. The sun is strong in summer, so do not forget a hat and something to drink.

About 1 hour. The morning before the sun gets strong is the most comfortable
