The Saitama City Iwatsuki Doll Museum (さいたま市岩槻人形博物館) conveys the history and culture of Iwatsuki, which flourished as a doll-making town from the Edo period. Numerous finely crafted dolls, including Hina dolls and May dolls, are on display, and parents and children alike find themselves absorbed in the delicacy of the artisans' work. The building is air-conditioned, so you can stay cool even during the hottest hours of summer, which is a welcome point. It is an ideal place to spend the morning before entering the pool, cool and cultured.

岩槻温水プールは、かつて栄えた城下町をイメージした瓦屋根の外観が特徴的な、さいたま市岩槻区の市営プールです。通年営業で、9時から21時まで(遊泳終了20:50)利用でき、天候に左右されず1年を通して泳ぎ込めます。屋内には水深1.1mから1.3mで8本のコースが並ぶ25メートルプールと、水深0.5mの幼児用の変形プールがあり、大人から小さな子どもまで幅広く楽しめます。午前の歴史・文化めぐりを終えたあと、夕方までしっかり体を動かせるクライマックスにぴったりです。

更衣室やロッカーの利用方法は現地の案内に従いましょう。夏休み期間は混雑することがあるため、お昼どきの入場がゆったり利用しやすいです。定休日や当日の利用状況は事前に公式サイトで確認しておくと安心です。
Tips
Some areas allow photography and others do not, so follow the signage as you look around. The museum shop sells doll-themed souvenirs. During busy seasons, visiting right after opening lets you go around at ease.
