See a horizontal stone chamber built in the late Kofun period
About this spot
On the north side of Neyagawa Park stands Neya Kofun (寝屋古墳), a burial mound with a horizontal stone chamber built in the late Kofun period. It is a historic site quietly nestled in the park's leafy setting, and even children who know little about history can feel the romance of antiquity here. Use the time before the fountain starts at 11:00 to enjoy a quiet history walk. The surroundings are enclosed by trees, so it suits a walk during the cool morning hours.

寝屋川公園の中央広場にある大噴水は、直径20mという大きさが特徴の水遊びスポットです。2026年は7月4日(土)から7月12日(日)までの土日、7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで毎日、9月は土日祝(最終9月27日(日))に、11時から15時まで15分に1回・1日6回稼働します。噴水には段差がなく、小さな子どもでも安心して水しぶきを浴びながら遊べるつくりになっています。周囲には100種類の宿根草が咲く法面花壇もあり、水遊びの合間に花を眺めながら休憩することもできます。
Tips
噴水は15分ごとに6回のみの稼働なので、稼働時間を事前に確認しておくと待ち時間を減らせます。日差しを遮るものが少ないため、こまめな休憩と水分補給を心がけましょう。着替えスペースも確認しておくと安心です。
Tips
Some stretches are dirt paths, so visit in comfortable walking shoes. There is an information board, so reading the explanation about the burial mound as you look around deepens your understanding.
