About this spot
Itami Sky Park (伊丹スカイパーク) is a long, narrow park stretching along the runway of Osaka International Airport, known as Itami Airport, and it is a popular spot for watching planes take off and land up close. It also has a wide lawn plaza and a play equipment area, so you can move your body freely while watching the planes. From the observation deck you can take in the whole runway, which makes for a special experience for children who love aircraft.
Tips
There are several free parking lots. The timing of departures and arrivals varies by hour, so staying a little longer makes it easier to catch the moment of takeoff or landing. Some sections have little shade, so prepare a hat and sunscreen.
