Play to the full at the floating water athletic park until evening
About this spot
Takata Matsubara Water Park (高田松原ウォーターパーク) is a floating athletic course that appears at Takata Matsubara Beach (高田松原海水浴場) in Takata-cho, Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture. In 2026 it operates from Saturday 18 July to Sunday 16 August, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a 50-minute rotation system. Floating bridges, trampolines, slides and other athletic equipment are linked together on the sea surface, and the appeal is playing with splashes of water while using your sense of balance. Play is based on wearing a life jacket, so the layout is easy for children who are not confident swimmers to try together with a guardian. On a beautiful shore that has come through disaster, it is the climax of a day for making bright summer family memories.
