A covered shopping arcade running from the north exit of Hiratsuka Station, the central shopping district of Hiratsuka where eateries and shops stand side by side. Choices range widely from casual diners to set-meal restaurants, handy for a proper lunch before sea bathing. Being an arcade, you can walk without worrying about the weather, which families appreciate. If there is beach gear you want to top up, you can pick it up here too.

平塚市の平塚海岸に広がる海水浴場で、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで開設されます。遊泳時間は9時から17時までです。相模川の河口に近く、遠くに丹沢の山並みを望める開放感のある景色が魅力の海水浴場です。都心からのアクセスの良さもあり、日帰りで海水浴を楽しむ家族連れに人気があります。広い砂浜には海の家や休憩スペースも整い、1日たっぷり水遊びを楽しめます。
Tips
平塚駅から車やバスでアクセスできます。夏の砂浜は熱いのでビーチサンダルが必携です。遊泳時間は17時までなので、着替えの時間を見込んで少し早めに切り上げるのがおすすめです。
Tips
It is just a short walk from Hiratsuka Station. Some places get busy at lunchtime during the summer holidays, so arriving around noon is recommended. Inside the arcade you can escape the sun and stay comfortable.
