About this spot

A historic shrine standing in the center of Hiratsuka City, cherished locally as a shrine with deep ties to the first shrine of Sagami Province. The precincts are surrounded by trees, giving a composed atmosphere despite the urban setting. Known as a stage for the summer festival, it is a presence beloved by local people. It is a perfect spot for praying for a safe trip before heading off for sea bathing.

平塚市の平塚海岸に広がる海水浴場で、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで開設されます。遊泳時間は9時から17時までです。相模川の河口に近く、遠くに丹沢の山並みを望める開放感のある景色が魅力の海水浴場です。都心からのアクセスの良さもあり、日帰りで海水浴を楽しむ家族連れに人気があります。広い砂浜には海の家や休憩スペースも整い、1日たっぷり水遊びを楽しめます。

Tips

平塚駅から車やバスでアクセスできます。夏の砂浜は熱いのでビーチサンダルが必携です。遊泳時間は17時までなので、着替えの時間を見込んで少し早めに切り上げるのがおすすめです。

Tips

It is within walking distance of Hiratsuka Station and easy to reach. The precincts are paved and easy to walk with a stroller. In summer, resting in the shade of the trees is recommended.
