Around JR Nagiso Station are scattered eateries serving local specialties such as Shinshu soba and gohei-mochi. In the calm atmosphere typical of the Kiso Road, you can have a solid lunch before playing in the river. The area near the station is also close to Tsumago-juku, making it easy to stop by during your stroll. Menus using local ingredients are enjoyable for the whole family.
Tips
It's reachable from Tsumago-juku by car or on foot. Some restaurants also serve local mountain-vegetable dishes. Be careful not to overeat, since you'll be playing in the river in the afternoon.
