Cape Koibito is a scenic spot in Toi, Izu City, known for superb views of Mt. Fuji across Suruga Bay. The view from the observation deck called the Golden Bell (黄金の鐘) at the end of a walking path is so clear that on fine days Mt. Fuji stands out sharply. There is also a cafe on the grounds, making it perfect for enjoying lunch while taking in the scenery. As the name suggests it is popular with couples, but the open scenery is also very well received by families. You can spend a moment before sea bathing together with a superb view.
Tips
About 10 minutes by car to Kotoi Beach. It is about a 10-minute walk along the path to the observation deck, so visit in easy-to-walk shoes. Mt. Fuji is easily covered by clouds, so a morning visit is recommended.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 15 minutes. Visiting in the 11:00 hour for lunch goes smoothly
