Suzuka City Archaeological Museum (鈴鹿市考古博物館)

About this spot

A museum in Kokubu-cho, Suzuka City, exhibiting materials unearthed from archaeological sites around the city. The highlight is the collection related to the adjoining nationally designated historic site, the Ise Kokubunji Temple Ruins (伊勢国分寺跡): the large roof tiles and earthenware make it clear that a great Nara-period temple once stood here. The exhibition rooms are compact, so even families with small children can go all the way around while attention holds. Hands-on corners and seasonal special exhibitions mean there is something new to discover on every visit. Spend the cool morning hours indoors at an easy pace and save energy for the afternoon water play.

Venue: 鈴鹿市・弁天山公園

鈴鹿市の弁天山公園にある無料の水遊び場です。鈴鹿市の『水景施設稼働情報』(令和8年6月現在)では、噴水などの水景施設は6月11日(木)から稼働し、9:00〜21:00の時間帯に水が流れます。鈴鹿市は公園の『道具の種類』に水遊び場を明記しており、噴水のほかにすべり台・ブランコ・砂遊び場がそろっているので、水に飽きたら遊具、遊具に飽きたらまた水と、子どもが自分のペースで遊び続けられます。一般トイレ・多目的トイレ・水道があり、着替えや砂落としに困らないのも家族連れにはありがたいところ。ショッピングセンターが隣接しているため、忘れ物をしてもすぐに買い足せます。料金は無料なので、短時間だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

Tips

清掃のため2026年8月4日(火)は停止予定です。この日は水が出ないので日程をずらしてください。シーズンの終了日は未発表のため、9月以降に訪れる場合は鈴鹿市の水景施設稼働情報で当日の稼働を確認しましょう。水遊び後は水道で砂と塩素をしっかり流し、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊ぶと熱中症を防げます。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意してください。

Tips

The permanent exhibition can be viewed free of charge. Fees and opening days may change while a special exhibition is running, so check the official website in advance. The galleries are a quiet space, so telling small children beforehand to "look at things very gently" makes it go smoothly. You can go around with a stroller.
