About this spot

Standing on the north side of JR Kameoka Station, this is the home stadium of Kyoto Sanga F.C. Having a building this large right outside the station is rare anywhere in Japan, and it has real impact for children even seen from outside. Sidewalks and open spaces are laid out around the stadium, so you can walk all the way around and feel just how big it is. Kamekita Sanga Hiroba is in the same area, so the fountain is a short walk from here. On match days the surroundings buzz with supporters, and you can feel the mood of the whole town change.

かめきたサンガ広場の噴水は、JR亀岡駅北側の広場にある、地面から水が噴き出すタイプの水遊び場です。池や柵がなく、噴き出す水の間を自由に走り回れるので、体を思いきり動かしたい子どもにはうってつけの遊び場になっています。2026年の夏休み期間は7/18(土)〜8/31(月)の9:00〜21:00に毎日運転され、通常は4月下旬〜11月下旬の土日祝に運転、11月下旬〜4月下旬頃は運転休止です。18時からはライトアップが始まり、光を受けた水しぶきが昼間とはまったく違う表情を見せます。料金は無料で、駅を出てすぐという立地のため、疲れたらすぐ帰れる気軽さもこの広場の良さです。

Tips

更衣室の案内は出ていないので、水着は下に着ていくかタオルポンチョを用意すると着替えがスムーズです。広場は日陰が限られるため、日中はレジャーシートと帽子で日差し対策をしてください。夕方まで遊ぶ場合は、濡れた体が冷えないよう羽織りものを一枚用意しておくと安心です。ライトアップは18時からなので、暗くなる時間帯まで残るなら帰りの電車の時刻を先に確認しておきましょう。

Tips

Check the official website in advance for tours inside the stadium and whether events are being held. On match days the area gets extremely crowded and the fountain plaza fills with people too, so if you want a quiet day of play it is safer to avoid the match schedule. There is little shade, so walk with a hat and drinks. Moving your body a little here and then changing into swimwear and heading to the fountain makes for a smooth flow.
