The lawn at Taiyo no Hiroba is an open space just right for spreading out a picnic sheet and eating a bento. The bouncy dome on the lawn is the kind of equipment that makes you want to bounce again and again, absorbing everyone from small children to primary schoolers. The popular free-fall slide, with its sensation of dropping all at once, is the signature attraction the children come for. Admission and parking are both free, and it also helps that you can leave your things in the car and move around unburdened. In 2026, from Saturday 1 August to Saturday 19 September, a Cool Fair (清涼フェア) sets up tents and misting in the outdoor play equipment area, so you can play with breaks even in the hot season.

玄海エネルギーパーク太陽のひろばじゃぶじゃぶ池は、太陽のひろばの中にある無料の水遊び場です。入場も駐車場も無料なので、天気のよい日に思い立って出かけられる気軽さがあります。同じ広場には各種遊具、人気のフリーフォールすべり台、芝生広場のふわふわドームがそろっているので、水に飽きたら遊具に移り、体を乾かしてからまた池に戻るという遊び方ができます。園内から出ている無料のロードトレインで隣接の玄海町次世代エネルギーパーク「あすぴあ」へ行き来できるのも、この場所ならではの楽しみ方です。開園は9:00〜17:00なので、午後からでも十分に遊びきれます。

Tips

じゃぶじゃぶ池の開設期間は未発表で、例年は夏休み期間に開かれています。出かける前に当日の開設状況を確認してから向かってください。休園日は第3月曜(祝日の場合は翌日)と12月29日〜1月3日です。2026年は8月1日(土)から9月19日(土)の「清涼フェア」期間中、屋外遊具エリアにテントとミストが設置されるので、休憩場所を確保しやすくなります。閉園は17:00なので、16:45には水から上がって着替えと片づけの時間を取っておきましょう。

Tips

You take your shoes off to play on the bouncy dome, so socks that can get dirty are reassuring. Much of the equipment sits in full sun, so take frequent breaks in the shade of the trees or under the tents. The Jabujabu Pond is inside this same Taiyo no Hiroba, so you can move straight from the equipment to the water. Doing all the changing at once after working up a sweat on the equipment makes the switch to the afternoon smoother.
