The Genkai Energy Park Taiyo no Hiroba Jabujabu Pond is a free water play area inside Taiyo no Hiroba. Admission and parking are both free, so there is an easiness about it — you can head out on the spur of the moment on a fine day. The same square has various play equipment, the popular free-fall slide and the bouncy dome on the lawn, so when you tire of the water you can move to the equipment, dry off, and then go back to the pond again. Being able to travel to and from the neighbouring Genkai Town Next-Generation Energy Park, Aspia (あすぴあ), on the free road train that runs from within the park is another way to enjoy this place that you will not find elsewhere. The park is open from 9:00 to 17:00, so there is plenty of time to play it out even starting in the afternoon.

Tips

The opening period of the Jabujabu Pond has not been announced; in past years it has opened during the summer holidays. Please check whether it is open on the day before you set off. The park is closed on the third Monday (the following day if that is a public holiday) and from 29 December to 3 January. In 2026, during the Cool Fair (清涼フェア) from Saturday 1 August to Saturday 19 September, tents and misting are set up in the outdoor play equipment area, making it easier to secure a resting spot. Closing is at 17:00, so allow time from 16:45 to get out of the water, change and pack up.
