Himawari-no-oka Park's Playable Fountain (ひまわりの丘公園遊べる噴水) is a free water-play facility at Himawari-no-oka Park in Ono City, featuring fountains and a mist system. In 2026 it runs from Wednesday, April 29 through Wednesday, September 30, from 10:00 to 16:30. The days it operates depend on the time of year: every day from April 29 to May 6 and from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31; weekends and holidays only from Saturday, July 4 to Sunday, July 12 and from Saturday, September 5 to Wednesday, September 30. It runs on a cycle of 10 minutes on, 5 minutes off, so a natural rhythm of rest and hydration forms during the pauses, letting even small children spend a long time here without pushing too hard. It may be suspended in bad weather, so check the forecast and operating status before you set out.

Tips

Admission is free. Changing spaces are limited, so plan to wear swimwear under your clothes and just towel off and change afterward. Bringing a plastic bag for each person's wet clothes makes the trip home more comfortable. Use the 5-minute pauses to head back to the shade and hydrate, which helps prevent heat exhaustion while playing. Since it stops running at 16:30, be sure to get in the water by 3pm at the latest.
