Himawari no Oka Park (ひまわりの丘公園) has a large playground said to be one of the biggest in the Kansai region. With long slides and three-dimensional structures like climbing nets, it is big enough to satisfy even elementary schoolers with energy to burn. Working off that energy here before getting into the fountain makes the water feel all the more refreshing. A lawn area is right next door, so you can sit and rest while keeping an eye on the children when you get tired. The fountain is only a short walk away, so deciding on a base for your belongings makes going back and forth easy.

ひまわりの丘公園遊べる噴水は、小野市のひまわりの丘公園にある無料の親水施設で、噴水とミストの仕掛けがあります。2026年は4月29日(水)から9月30日(水)まで、10:00から16:30まで運転されます。運転する日は時期で決まっており、4月29日から5月6日と7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)は毎日、7月4日(土)から7月12日(日)と9月5日(土)から9月30日(水)は土日祝のみです。10分運転して5分休止をくり返す仕組みなので、止まっている間に休憩と水分補給を挟むリズムが自然にできあがり、小さな子でも無理なく長い時間を過ごせます。天候不順のときは運転を休止するため、出発前に天気と運転状況を確かめてください。

Tips

料金は無料です。着替えの場所は限られるので、水着は服の下に着ていき、帰りはタオルで拭いて着替えるつもりで準備しておきましょう。ぬれた服を入れるビニール袋を人数分用意しておくと帰りが快適です。休止の5分間は木陰に戻って水分をとる時間にあてると、熱中症を防ぎながら遊べます。16:30に運転が終わるので、遅くとも15時台には水に入っておいてください。

Tips

The playground is in direct sunlight, so touch the metal parts to check they are not hot before letting children play. Hats and sunscreen are essential. It gets crowded on weekend afternoons, so agreeing on a meeting point in advance reduces the worry of getting separated. Have children drink as soon as they start sweating, and take a break before moving on to the fountain.
