About this spot

Yumekko Land (夢っこランド) is the play equipment area inside Akashi Kaikyo National Government Park (国営明石海峡公園), right next to the splash pond. The comfortable order is to spread a picnic sheet in the nearby shade, eat lunch and rest first, then start moving on the equipment. Getting into the water after working up a sweat on the playground makes the coolness feel even better. It is close enough to move back and forth with the splash pond, so setting up your base for bags here makes the afternoon flow smoothly. The park opens toward the sea, so the breeze makes it more pleasant than the middle of town.

国営明石海峡公園じゃぶじゃぶ池は、遊具エリア「夢っこランド」の隣にある水遊び場です。公式に「じゃぶじゃぶ池の利用は、4月〜10月です」と案内されており、例年4月1日(水)から10月31日(土)まで、時間は公園の開園時間に準じます。噴水やウォーターガンの仕掛けがあるので、ただ水につかるだけでなく、水を出したり浴びたりして自分から遊びをつくれるのが子どもには楽しいところ。夏だけでなく春から秋まで開いているため、暑さの落ち着いた季節に足をひたしに行くこともできます。利用には公園の入園料が必要ですが、中学生以下は無料なので、子ども連れの負担はほとんどありません。隣が遊具エリアなので、水と遊具を行き来しながら長い時間を過ごせます。

Tips

開園時間は季節によって変わるので、出かける前に公式サイトで確認してください。着替えの設備は限られるため、水着は服の下に着ていき、バスタオルを一枚多めに持っていくと困りません。ぬれた服を入れるビニール袋を人数分用意しておくと帰りが快適です。園内は広いので、駐車場から水遊び場までの経路を先に確かめておくと荷物運びが楽になります。日ざしの強い時間帯は木陰で休憩をはさみ、こまめに水分をとらせましょう。

Opening hours change with the season, so check the official website before setting out. Play equipment can get hot in the sun, so touch it to check before letting children play. Rubbish must be taken home, so bring extra bags.
