Nozoekita Park Hadaka-no-Ike Pond (野添北公園 はだかの池)

About this spot

Nozoekita Park Hadaka-no-Ike Pond (野添北公園 はだかの池) is an artificial pond for water play in Nozoekita Park in Harima Town, Kako District. The park itself is open at all times from Thursday, January 1 to Thursday, December 31, but water play is mainly a summer activity, and the operating period and hours are not published. To be sure, check the situation with the town's information service before setting out, or confirm that the pond has been filled. Within the same park there is also Chibikko Hiroba (ちびっこ広場) with its combination play equipment and the lawn area Hadashi-no-Mori (はだしの森), so you can spend a long time switching between play styles: to the equipment when tired of the water, to the lawn when you get cold. Admission is free, and being surrounded by a residential district, its character is that of a park you can drop into casually as an extension of daily life.

Tips

Since the operating status is not published, contact the town before setting out if you want to avoid a wasted trip. Changing facilities are limited, so wear swimwear under clothes and bring one extra bath towel to be safe. Preparing a plastic bag per person for wet clothes makes the trip home more comfortable. Play equipment can get hot in the sun, so touch it to check before letting children play. During the strongest sunlight, take breaks in the shade and have children drink frequently.

Best time to visit

Arrive at 2 p.m. and you can play plenty, moving between water and equipment until the sun softens in the evening
