JR Tsuchiyama Station (土山駅) is the gateway to Harima Town, and the surrounding area has plenty of restaurants and food shops. It sits roughly midway between the Onaka Ruins (大中遺跡) and Nozoekita Park (野添北公園), which makes it an ideal lunch spot to link the morning and afternoon. Taking a proper rest in an air-conditioned restaurant means you can enjoy the afternoon water play energetically right to the end. Buy your afternoon drinks and snacks here too. Getting children into their swimwear in the restroom after eating makes everything smoother once you reach the park.

野添北公園はだかの池は、加古郡播磨町の野添北公園にある、水遊びのできる人工の池です。公園そのものは1月1日(木)から12月31日(木)まで常時開放されていますが、水遊びが楽しめるのは主に夏のあいだで、開設期間や時間は公表されていません。そのため、出かける前に町の案内で状況を確かめるか、水が張られているかを確認してから向かうと確実です。同じ公園の中には複合遊具のある「ちびっこ広場」と芝生広場「はだしの森」が併設されているので、水に飽きたら遊具、体が冷えたら芝生と、遊び方を切り替えながら長い時間を過ごせます。料金は無料で、まわりは住宅地なので、日常の延長として気軽に立ち寄れるのがこの公園らしさです。

Tips

開設状況が公表されていないため、空振りを避けたいときは町へ問い合わせてから出かけてください。着替えの設備は限られるので、水着は服の下に着ていき、バスタオルを一枚多めに持っていくと困りません。ぬれた服を入れるビニール袋を人数分用意しておくと帰りが快適です。遊具は日ざしで熱くなることがあるので、触って確かめてから遊ばせましょう。日ざしの強い時間帯は木陰で休憩をはさみ、こまめに水分をとらせてください。

Tips

Restaurants get crowded around noon on weekends, so shifting your timing slightly makes it easier to get a seat. Keeping drinks in a cooler bag makes hydration in the afternoon much more comfortable. Nozoekita Park is a few minutes away by car; checking the parking spot in advance makes carrying your bags easier. If you have forgotten anything such as sunscreen, stock up here.
