This municipal museum shows Ebetsu's history as one continuous story, from the pioneer era to the present day. Blessed with fine clay, Ebetsu is a town of bricks, and here you can clearly see where the brick buildings scattered around the town came from. Subjects unique to this land are displayed alongside the actual tools used: river transport on the Ishikari River, the lives of the farmer-soldiers who cultivated the peat lands, and the lamprey fishing once carried out on the river. The exhibition rooms are compact, so even small children can make a full round while their attention lasts, which is a real blessing. It is just the right way to spend a morning on a day when you want to save energy for the water play in the afternoon.

泉の沼公園水遊び場は、江別市にある無料の水遊びスポットです。2026年の開設期間は未発表ですが、例年は夏休みの時期に合わせて水が張られます。水深の浅い水遊び場なので、歩き始めたばかりの子でも足をひたして遊べるのが大きな魅力です。住宅街の中の公園なので人の目が届きやすく、大人は木陰から見守りながらゆっくり過ごせます。利用は無料なので、時間を気にせず気が済むまで遊ばせてあげられるのも家族連れにはうれしいところ。日の長い北海道の夏は、夕方になっても明るいまま遊び続けられます。

開設状況は年によって変わるため、出発前に江別市の案内で今年の期間を確認してください。着替えの場所は限られるので、水着を服の下に着せていくと現地での支度が楽になります。日陰は木の下が中心なので、日差しの強い日はワンタッチテントやレジャーシートがあると休憩しやすくなります。夕方は風が出て体が冷えることがあるため、羽織ものを一枚持っていくと安心です。
