The Nopporo Green Mall Water Play Area is a free water play spot along a promenade in Ebetsu. The 2026 opening period has not been announced yet, but in most years the water runs to match the summer holidays. Instead of a single park, fountains and streams are set along a pedestrian path in the middle of town, and the fun of it is being able to play with the water as you follow the path. The water is shallow, so even small children can dip their feet and play while adults watch over them from benches or the shade of the trees. It is close enough to drop into casually on the way to the shops or on a walk, so it works well even on a day when you only want a little water play. Admission is free, so you can let children play as long as they like.

Tips

Opening conditions vary from year to year, so please check this year's period with the Ebetsu city information before you set out. Because it runs along a promenade, bicycles and pedestrians pass right beside the water. Please keep small children in sight at all times. Some paved sections are slippery, so having children wear water play sandals is reassuring. Changing spaces are limited, so putting swimwear on under clothing makes getting ready on site much easier.

Best time to visit

Arriving at 13:40 gives about 2 hours 50 minutes, playing until the evening when the sunlight softens.
