About this spot

A complex in Higashinopporocho, Ebetsu, that makes use of the buildings of a former brick factory. The weathered red-brick walls and high ceilings have been left as they were, so simply entering the building lets you feel the town's history with your whole body. Inside are restaurants and shops handling local ingredients, where you can meet flavours unique to this land, such as bread and noodles made with wheat grown in Ebetsu. There are benches on the plaza side too, so on fine days you can take a break in the open air. Nopporo Green Mall is only a few minutes away by car, which makes it convenient to get ready and head straight there.

野幌グリーンモール水遊び場は、江別市の遊歩道沿いにある無料の水遊びスポットです。2026年の開設期間は未発表ですが、例年は夏休みの時期に合わせて水が流れます。まとまった公園ではなく、街なかの歩行者用の道に沿って噴水とせせらぎが設けられているのが特徴で、道をたどりながら水と戯れられるのが面白いところ。水は浅いので小さな子でも足をひたして遊べ、大人はベンチや木陰から見守れます。買い物や散歩の途中に気軽に立ち寄れる距離感なので、「今日は少しだけ」という日にも使いやすい水辺です。利用は無料なので、気が済むまで遊ばせてあげられます。

Tips

開設状況は年によって変わるため、出発前に江別市の案内で今年の期間を確認してください。遊歩道沿いのため、水辺のすぐそばを自転車や歩行者が通ります。小さな子からは目を離さないようにしましょう。石畳で滑りやすい場所があるので、水遊び用サンダルを履かせておくと安心です。着替えの場所は限られるため、水着を服の下に着せていくと現地での支度が楽になります。

Tips

Business hours and regular holidays differ from shop to shop, so checking before you set out is reassuring. It gets crowded around noon on weekends, so arriving between 11 and 12 makes it easier to get a seat. Buying drinks and snacks here saves trouble during the afternoon water play. There is a car park, making it easy to stop by by car.
