Moerenuma Park Moere Beach (モエレ沼公園 モエレビーチ) is a free water-play spot in Moerenuma Park (モエレ沼公園) in Higashi Ward, Sapporo. In 2026 it is open from Saturday, June 13 to Wednesday, September 2, from 10:00 to 16:00. It is shallow and paved with stone, shaped so that you enter the water gradually, so even small children can play while checking their footing. The park has changing rooms, restrooms, a restaurant and a large parking lot, and having the facilities for a family to spend a whole day there is a great source of reassurance. Lawns and gentle hills surround it, so once you come out of the water you can lie down and let your body dry. Because the park itself is designed as a sculptural work, you can also appreciate the beauty of the scenery while you play, which is something unique to this place.

Tips

It may be canceled depending on the weather, so check whether it is open on the day before you set out. The stones get slippery when wet, so be sure to have children wear water sandals. There is little shade, so sun protection and plenty of drinks are needed. Changing rooms are available for changing clothes. The park is large, so allowing time to walk back to the parking lot and starting to pack up by 15:30 lets you head home comfortably.
