About this spot

A small airport in Higashi Ward, Sapporo, right beside the built-up city. Flights connecting cities across Hokkaido arrive and depart, and unlike a large airport the planes are close enough to delight children. The terminal is small, so there is no getting lost, and even a short visit feels well worth it. Following the whole flow with your eyes from start to finish, as the propellers begin to turn, the plane runs down the runway and floats up into the sky, is an experience unique to this airport. It is close to Hinomaru Park, which makes it just the right distance for the first stop of the morning.

ひのまる公園水遊び場は、札幌市東区のひのまる公園にある無料の水遊び場です。2026年は7月3日(金)から8月23日(日)まで、10:00〜16:00に開放されます。浅い水遊び場なので水深を心配せずに済み、歩き始めたばかりの子でも足をひたすところから遊べます。近所の子どもたちが集まる規模の公園なので、行列や待ち時間がなく、自分たちのペースで過ごせるのが良いところです。木陰のベンチから大人が全体を見渡せるため、はじめての水遊びにも向いています。丘珠空港が近いので、遊んでいる最中に頭上を飛行機が通ることもあり、それだけで子どもは大喜びします。

Tips

水遊び場の運用は天候によって変わることがあるため、出発前に当日の状況を確認してください。足元を切らないよう水遊び用サンダルを履かせましょう。着替えの場所は限られるので、上から羽織れるタオルやポンチョがあると便利です。住宅街の中の公園なので、周辺では静かに過ごすよう声をかけておきましょう。16:00に終了するため、15時半には片づけを始めると余裕をもって帰れます。

Tips

Please follow the terminal's guidance on where and when you may watch. Looking up the arrival and departure times in advance raises your chances of seeing a plane. There are restrooms inside the terminal. There is little shade along the fence, so do not forget hats and drinks.
