A large commercial complex adjacent to the Sapporo Beer Museum, with many restaurants so each family member can easily choose what they want to eat. Being indoors, you can spend the hours of strongest sun in the cool, which is a real help in summer. Picking up whatever you are missing before water play here, such as sunscreen, drinks, or bags for wet clothes, sets you up for a worry-free afternoon. Restrooms and diaper-changing facilities are well provided, so getting ready is easy even with small children. Resting a little after eating before getting into the water reduces the strain on the body.

若葉公園水遊び池は、札幌市白石区の若葉公園に夏だけ現れる浅い水遊び場です。2026年は7月10日(金)から8月31日(月)まで、9:00〜17:00に開放され、利用は無料です。朝から夕方まで長く開いているので、午前だけ、午後だけといった家族の予定に合わせた使い方ができます。水深が浅いため、歩き始めたばかりの子でも自分の足で立って遊べるのが安心なところ。入れ替えや順番待ちがなく、遊びたいときに入って疲れたら木陰で休むという自由なリズムで過ごせます。近所の子どもたちが集まる場所なので、その日はじめて会った子と一緒に遊びだすのも公園の水遊び場らしい時間です。

Tips

開放は9:00〜17:00ですが、天候や清掃の都合で変わることがあるため、出発前に札幌市の案内で当日の状況を確認してください。更衣室はないので、水着は下に着ていくか、ラップタオルなどで着替えられる用意をしておきましょう。札幌の夏は日が陰ると急に涼しくなるので、上がったあとに羽織る一枚が必要です。日陰が限られるため、レジャーシートと帽子があると休憩がぐっと楽になります。

Tips

It gets crowded at midday, so arriving sometime after 11:00 makes it easier to get a seat. Spending too long shopping shortens the afternoon in the water, so jotting down what you need before going in is efficient. Leaving swimwear and towels in the car and walking in light-handed is recommended. Wakaba Park is about 10 minutes away by car, so leaving sometime after 13:00 gives you room to start water play comfortably.
