A facility at the entrance to Nopporo Forest Park (野幌森林公園) that introduces the nature of the forest. It has exhibits on the trees, birds and animals you can see in the park, so studying up here before you set off gives you the pleasure of realizing "that's the one we just saw" out among the trees. Forest this extensive remaining right beside a city is rare even nationwide, and you can feel the temperature of the air change the moment you step inside. There is no need to push deep into the woods; simply walking out and back on the easy paths around the center is enough to savor the forest. Gathering information indoors before heading outside keeps even small children engaged on the walk.

小野幌くりの木公園水遊び場は、札幌市厚別区の小野幌くりの木公園に夏だけ現れる浅い水遊び場です。2026年は7月1日(水)から8月31日(月)まで、9:30〜16:30に開放され、利用は無料です。二か月にわたって開いているので、夏休みのあいだ何度でも通えるのがこの水遊び場の使いやすさです。水深が浅いため、歩き始めたばかりの子でも自分の足で立って遊べます。入れ替えや順番待ちがなく、遊びたいときに入って疲れたら木陰で休むという自由なリズムで過ごせるのが公園の水遊び場のよさ。午前に森と村を歩いた足を、冷たい水で休ませられるのもこの組み立てのよいところです。

Tips

開放は9:30〜16:30です。天候不良や清掃、水質管理の都合で休みになる日があるため、出発前に札幌市の案内で当日の状況を確認してください。更衣室はないので、水着は下に着ていくか、ラップタオルなどで着替えられる用意をしておきましょう。札幌の夏は日が陰ると急に涼しくなるので、上がったあとに羽織る一枚が必要です。緑の多い場所なので、虫よけがあると休憩が快適になります。

Tips

Check the opening hours and closed days in advance. There are many insects in the forest, so repellent and longer clothing will keep you comfortable. The trails vary in length and difficulty, so the surest approach is to ask at the center which route you can walk that day. If there is any information about bears or other wild animals, always follow the on-site guidance.
