Sakura Park Water Play Area
About this spot
The Sakura Park Water Play Area in Sakura Park (桜公園) in Nishi-ku, Sapporo, is a shallow water play spot that is free to use. It runs from Saturday, June 6, 2026 to Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 9:00 to 17:00, a stretch long enough to cover the whole summer. The water is shallow, so even small children who are not used to water can walk in on their own. It is a park in a residential neighborhood close to Miyanosawa Subway Station, easy to drop by while out shopping or eating. There are no changeover breaks, so children can alternate play and rest at their own pace. Admission is free, so a short afternoon-only visit works well too.
