Kotoni Shrine (琴似神社)

A shrine in the town center of Kotoni, Nishi-ku, and the local guardian shrine that has walked alongside the district since the farmer-soldiers settled here. Though it sits in a corner lined with buildings and shops, pass under the torii gate and you are wrapped in trees as the air itself seems to change. The precinct is not too large, so even families with small children can pay their respects pleasantly in a short time. Purifying your hands at the water basin and joining your palms before the main hall makes a fine experience for a child. Visiting after the historic site draws the origins of Kotoni into a single line.

札幌市西区の農試公園にある「農試公園ちゃぷちゃぷ広場」は、無料で利用できる浅い水遊び場です。開設期間は2026年6月1日(月)から9月30日(水)まで、時間は9:00〜17:00と、市内のじゃぶじゃぶ池のなかでも期間が長いのが特徴です。2023年にリニューアルされた池で、水深が浅く、未就学児でも自分の足で入っていけます。園内には屋内遊戯室のあるツインキャップ、トイレ、駐車場がそろっているので、着替えや休憩の段取りがしやすいのも家族連れにはありがたいところ。6月から9月まで使えるため、夏休みの前後にも計画に組み込めます。料金は無料です。

Tips

終了は17:00です。着替えと片づけの時間を見て16:45ごろには水から上がりましょう。天候や水温、清掃作業によって利用できない日があるため、出かける前に札幌市の案内ページで当日の状況を確認してください。人気の公園なので夏休みの週末は混み合います。木陰の場所は早めに確保しておくと快適です。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意しましょう。

Tips

It is within walking distance of Kotoni Subway Station. Keep quiet in the precinct, and walking to the side rather than down the middle of the approach path is the polite way. In summer there is plenty of shade, so it also works as a place to escape the sun and catch your breath.
