Kasumi Park Splash Pool

The Kasumi Park Splash Pool is a free water-play area in Kasumi Prefectural Park (県立香澄公園) in Narashino City (習志野市). The 2026 season runs from Wednesday, July 1 to Wednesday, September 30. It is a large splash pool with a fountain, and the water is shallow, so even small children can play safely. Opening hours are not stated officially, so check the Narashino City notice for the situation on the day before you set out. As a rule it cannot be used on Thursdays for cleaning, and on Friday mornings the water may not have filled up yet, leaving the level low and the fountain off. There are two free parking areas (75 spaces in total), which is a welcome thing for families carrying a lot of luggage.

Tips
Thursdays are unavailable for cleaning, so if you go on a weekday, choose a day other than Thursday. The water level can be low on Friday mornings, so visiting in the afternoon on a Friday is the sure bet. Since it is free, you can also use it for a short stay and leave early depending on how your child is doing. Bodies chill easily after water play, so bring plenty of dry clothes and towels.
Best time to visit
About 2 hours 30 minutes. After 14:00, when the sunlight softens, is a particularly comfortable time
