About this spot

A large shopping mall near JR Tsudanuma Station (JR津田沼駅). It has both a food court and restaurants, so everyone in the family can choose to their own taste. The air-conditioned interior is also a reliable place to rest before the outdoor play of the afternoon. There is no shop at the splash pool, so buying drinks, a spare towel and sunscreen here is reassuring. With a nursing room and a baby rest room, it makes an easy midday base even with an infant.

Venue: 習志野市・県立香澄公園

習志野市の県立香澄公園にある、無料の水遊び場「香澄公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」です。2026年のシーズンは7月1日(水)から9月30日(水)まで。噴水付きの大型じゃぶじゃぶ池で、水面が浅いため小さな子でも安心して遊べます。開放時間は公式に記載がないため、当日は習志野市の案内で状況を確かめてから出かけてください。原則として毎週木曜は清掃のため利用できず、金曜の午前は水が溜まりきらず水位が低く噴水が出ない場合があります。無料駐車場が2か所(計75台)そろっているので、荷物の多い家族連れでも出かけやすいのがうれしいところです。

Tips

木曜は清掃で利用できないため、平日に行くなら木曜以外を選びましょう。金曜の午前は水位が低いことがあるので、金曜は午後に訪れると確実です。料金は無料なので、子どもの様子を見ながら短時間で切り上げる使い方もできます。水遊びのあとは体が冷えやすいので、乾いた着替えとタオルを多めに用意してください。

Tips

The food court gets crowded around noon on weekends, so arriving before noon or shifting to after 13:00 makes it easier to get a table. Do not forget to prepare a plastic bag for wet clothes. Kasumi Park has two free parking areas (75 spaces in total), but they fill up quickly on summer weekends, so moving on soon after lunch is recommended.
