The wading pool and fountain at Shintomi Park (新富公園) in Asahikawa City make up a free water-play area. In 2026 they are available from Monday, June 1 to Monday, August 31, from 10:00 to 17:00. The shallow wading pool and the fountain are combined, so children can both run around in the spray and sit quietly touching the water. Because the water is shallow, even small children who cannot swim yet can walk in on their own feet.
