A large shopping mall directly connected to Asahikawa Station (旭川駅), with restaurants and a food court. Each family member can choose what they want to eat, so even with children who are picky in different ways, taking a single table is enough. Being indoors with air conditioning, you can wait out the strongest sunshine without using up energy. Drinks and snacks for the afternoon water play, and any towel you forgot, can also be picked up here in one go. Restrooms and diaper-changing facilities are well equipped, so finish all your preparations for the afternoon here.

東光ふれあい公園徒渉池は、旭川市の東光ふれあい公園に夏だけ開かれる浅い水遊び場です。2026年は6月1日(月)から8月31日(月)まで、10:00〜17:00に開放され、利用は無料です。園内の噴水は故障のため休止中ですが、徒渉池自体は稼働しているので水遊びの目的で訪れて困ることはありません。水深が浅く流れも穏やかなので、歩き始めたばかりの子でも自分の足で立って遊べます。住宅街の中にある公園なので、近所の子どもたちが自然に集まり、その日はじめて会った子と一緒に走り回ることも珍しくありません。夕方まで遊んで、そのまま帰路につける気軽さが日常のおでかけにちょうど合っています。

Tips

開放は10:00〜17:00です。噴水は故障のため休止中で、稼働しているのは徒渉池のみという点を承知のうえで出かけてください。天候不良や清掃、水質管理の都合で休みになることがあるため、当日の状況は旭川市の案内で確認しましょう。更衣室は用意されていない前提で、水着を下に着ていくと着替えが楽になります。日陰が限られるのでレジャーシートと帽子を、上がったあとには薄手の羽織を用意しておくと安心です。

Tips

Seats fill up at lunchtime, so arriving around noon and securing a table first lets you eat calmly. Parking may be paid, so check the validation conditions before you drive in. Doing your shopping after eating saves carrying bags around. Leaving swimwear and towels in the car and entering the mall light on your feet makes moving around easier.
