Funabashi Andersen Park Rainbow Pond is the water play area in the Wanpaku Kingdom Zone of Funabashi Andersen Park in Funabashi City. In 2026 it can be used from Wednesday, July 1 to Wednesday, September 30, from 9:30 to 17:00. In a typical year, lifeguards are stationed during Golden Week and from July through September, and water quality is managed in line with the Funabashi City swimming pool guidelines, which makes it a reassuring water play spot for families. It stays open until 17:00 from July 20 to August 31 and on weekends and holidays, and until 16:00 on other weekdays; outside this period, visitors play without putting their faces in the water. Rainbow Pond itself is free, with a separate park admission fee required (900 yen for adults, 600 yen for high school students, 200 yen for elementary and junior high school students, 100 yen for young children aged 4 and over, free for those aged 65 and over). There are shops and restrooms in the park, so you are never short of a place to change or take a break, which is another big advantage.

Tips

On some weekdays it closes at 16:00, so check the closing time before deciding how long to play. It is busiest from about 13:00 to 15:00, so if you arrive at 14:00, secure shade before staking out a spot. If your child is at an age that needs swim diapers, be sure to bring them. Bodies get cold after playing, so bringing plenty of dry clothes and towels is reassuring.
